A World Wind Adventure

Today was our last full day in this great city of Jerusalem.  It started with a delicious breakfast followed by a short bus ride to one of the most emotionally moving sites for the Jewish people and for us to – Yad Vashem, this is the Holocaust Memorial.  There were so many thoughts and emotions stirred as one walks through this account of this most devastating and destructive event.
Our next stop was Bethlehem.  Here we stopped for lunch and then viewed the church and took a tour through the facility.  Following our tour of this site, we then spent a bit of time shopping at one of the local stores.  Once back on the bus…we were on our way.  Well not quite.  There merchants continued to follow us and at the foot of the steps of the bus would yell up into it hoping for another sale.  And they did get what they were hoping for and some of the team got what they were shopping for.
Once we crossed the security, it was back into Jerusalem and on to the Israeli Museum.  There we looked at a life size model of Jerusalem and toured the Shrine of the Book.
We arrived back at the hotel around supper time and the team then split off in multiple directions as time was running out for one last opportunity to pick up just a few more precious things before packing and getting ready to head out tomorrow.
What a week…what a trip…what an experience!
